초대 총재로 하는 세계평화 감시 기구 컴퍼스가 창설되어, 키라네는 그 일원으로서 각지의 전투에 개입한다. 그런 때에,
신흥국 파운데이션 왕국으로부터, 블루 코스모스 본거지로의 합동 작전을 제안받는다.
In C.E.75, the fighting still continues. There are independence movements, and aggression by Blue Cosmos... In order to calm the situation, a global peace monitoring agency called COMPASS is established, with Lacus Clyne as its first president. As members of COMPASS, Kira and his comrades intervene into various regional battles. Then a newly established nation called Kingdom of Foundation proposes a joint operation against a Blue Cosmos stronghold.

스트라이크 프리덤 건담을 개수한 「스트라이크 프리덤 건담 2식」에, 신설계의 윙 「프라우드 디펜더」를 장비한 모습. 프라우드 디펜더는 당초 라이징 프리덤 건담에서 사용 예정이었지만, 개발이 지연되었기 때문에 최종적으로는 스트라이크 프리덤 건담 2식용으로 조정되었다. 가장 큰 특징은 정신 감응으로 제어하는 나노 입자에 의해 고전압의 전류를 발생시킴으로써 대상물을 파괴할 수 있다. 이마에 대비하는 「EQM-Y148 수렴 중핵자 빔포 디스랩터」는 원자를 붕괴시키는 것과 동시에 핵분열을 억제하기 때문에, 이 빔에 조사된 물체는 폭발적 반응을 일으키는 일 없이 분해・소실된다. 방어 불능의 궁극 무기이기 때문에 사용시에는 컴퍼스 총재인 라크스 클라인의 승인도 필요한 등 취급에는 세심한 주의가 필요하다.
The Strike Freedom Gundam Type II, a modified form of the Strike Freedom Gundam, equipped with the newly designed Proud Defender wings. The Proud Defender was originally intended for use with the Rising Freedom Gundam, but it ended up being adjusted for the Strike Freedom Type II due to development delays. Its major defining feature is the ability to use telepathically controlled nanoparticles to produce a high-voltage electrical current which can be used to destroy targets. The EQM-Y148 convergent heavy nucleon beam can can disintegrate atoms while also suppressing nuclear fission, meaning that objects exposed to the beam break down and dissipate without causing an explosive reaction. This makes it an ultimate weapon that cannot be defended against, so extreme caution . Lacus Clyne, president of COMPASS, is even required before it can be used.

A Coordinator born from the research of his father Hibiki. Kira is Cagalli"s twin brother. While a student, he was caught up in the war and forced to fight as an Earth Alliance Forces pilot. However, after meeting Lacus, he became an independent for fighting alongside her to end the war. He rejected the Destiny Plan and helped defeat Dullindal, and is now active as a member of COMPASS for the sake of a world which is still in chaos.
